Good day, everyone!

If you didn't know yet, Althea has come out a lot of their Exclusive products and I have been loving them! I have blogged about their recent sunscreen, the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway, which I absolutely enjoy using it.

Today, I am going to talk about their latest product in town, which is the Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask. It consists of the AHA and BHA which help to peel off dead skin cells for smoother skin. It also contains milk protein extract that provides moisture and strengthen our skin.

If you are worrying that the AHA and BHA might react to your sensitive skin, don't worry! Because the Milk Peel Cream Mask acts as a gentle exfoliator and it is even suitable for all skin types due to its hypoallergenic formula which won’t irritate the skin. At first, I thought it is like a peel-off mask, which can be pretty harsh on the skin. In fact, it is super gentle!

The bottle of the Milk Peel Cream mask is made in a pump dispenser to prevent the product from oxidization. It comes out of the bottle as a soft clay and transforms into rich foamy bubbles once I spread it out on my skin.

See, it immediately started bubbling up once it contacted to the air after I spread them out! There is this ticklish sensation when the product bubble up and you can even hear it. Love how smooth and foamy the product is and my skin feels super soft after using it! PS, it is not drying at all. :DD

HOW TO USE

1. Dampen the skin and apply an even layer onto the skin.
2. Massage until rich lather forms.

3. Leave on for 30-60 seconds.
4. Rinse away with warm water.

Before I use the mask, my face after a long day looks super oily and really dull.

Look how my skin transformed after using the mask! It has deeply cleansed the pores of my skin, leaving it cleaner and brighter. Like what I have mentioned earlier, it is super gentle but effective, as my skin feels so clean and moisture. What I can assure you is that my skin doesn't feel drying at all after using it!

Verdict

Would definitely recommend this if you love bubble mask. It is super affordable yet effective!
Even though it is said that it can be used every day, but if you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend you to use it daily. But you can try to use it every other day before you start using it everyday.

The Milk Peel Cream mask is actually a gentle exfoliator, as there are AHA and BHA in it. So, it is extra important for you to protect your skin from the harmful sunray with sunblock.

Few days ago, I was invited to a food tasting at Naughty Nuri's. When I heard that I will be tasting their new menu, I immediately said yes to it because I love their food! Still remember when I first visited Naughty Nuri was when I am still in Melbourne. Back then, I thought that I can only have their Signature BBQ ribs in Mel, and I am so happy to find out that they have actually opened a few outlets in Malaysia!

Known for its mouthwatering Balinese style pork ribs, Naughty Nuri has come out a new menu of 9 different dishes. I have visited the outlet in Atria Mall to have the food tasting session with the other bloggers and influencers. They always have these cute piggies in front of the store and it has become one of their signatures. Anyway, here is me standing awkwardly in front of the store. HAHA.

During our food tasting, Naughty Nuri has found their first Ribs Master! The challenge was started back in early September and the fastest participant who finished his BBQ ribs is able to win himself a year worth of FREE ribs! It was their final showdown that day with their Top4 finalists and I must say that the competition was very intense. Anyway, congratulation to the winner, Troy Thistleton, who finished the Ribs in just 2 minutes and 37 seconds! Impressive, huh?

GG Fizz Jug (RM26)

Before the food is served, we got these carbonated grapes drink. It tastes just right, not too sweet or too bland at the beginning. But it can go a little dilute when the ice melted.

Signature Vegetarian Salad (RM23)

The first dish that is served is this vegetarian salad. It is a plate of mixed vege with lettuce, carrot, and capsicum. I am loving the salad dressing as it is very appetizing and delicious. I feel really healthy after eating this tho. HAHA.

Indonesian Style Mee Goreng Basah (RM25)

The Indonesian style mee goreng tasted like a sweetened version of your mamak mee goreng. To be honest, it doesn't suit my taste bud because I still prefer the savory or spicy version of mee goreng. But the roast pork is really crispy and nice. Not even kidding that I might order this again cause of their xiu yuk. LOL.

Grilled Iberico Skewers (S: RM20, L: RM30)

The pork skewers are so fattening!! It is well seasoned and cooked but there is only like 30% of meat and the other 70% are all fats. It is indeed a high calorie and fattening food.

Pork Belly Bakar *Merah* (RM18)

Love love love this one. The pork belly is seasoned with the red hot sauce and I must say that they match so well! For extra spiciness, you can dip the pork belly into the sauce for a more syok sensation.

Signature Balinese ‘Sop Tulang’ (RM24.80)

The soup is indeed very flavorful and the meat is cooked until very soft and tender. Really love both of the broth and meat. This is probably one of my favourite dishes.

Balinese Inspired Ayam Bakar (Half: RM18, Whole: RM25)

This ayam bakar leave me a good impression. Look at how well the chicken is baked! The skin is in a perfect golden brown condition and it is really flavorful. It doesn't taste dry even on the breast part. But I must say that the wing part is kind of overcooked for some reasons, which make it really hard. The mashed potato, in fact, matches really well with the chicken and it is really delicious.

Naughty Nuri’s Signature Flaming Iberico Ribs (RM49)

Here finally comes to their signature MUST-have pork ribs! Dipped in their homemade sauce and flamed to perfection, the meat is incredibly juicy and tender. The sauce is slightly sticky, but delightful in sweet taste, and the meat is so soft that gives a pleasant bite. Due to the burning flame, it makes the ribs to have a hint of smoky burnt, which is not too bad.

Sizzling Bacon Chocolate Cake (RM22)

Last but not least, how can we forget about the dessert? This is my first time having this kind of dessert and I was so excited to try it out. The bacon chocolate cake is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with some melted chocolate on a sizzling lava plate. Surprisingly, the bacon blended so well with it can be a bit sweet for those who don't have sweet tooth but I really love it.

I feel that Naughty Nuri's is a great choice when it comes to pork ribs and those who are pork lovers. It is indeed one of the restaurants you might not want to miss if you are craving for some Balinese kind of cuisine. The environment is very nice and the staffs are really friendly. For the service, I hope that it can get a little better because I feel that there might be short of staff due to the competition that is going on that night. Overall, it is not too bad.

Hello Bunnies!

Cleansing is the most important step in the whole skincare regime, but do you know that sunscreen is crucial after all your skincare? It is an everyday-MUST for me and I will never skip this step. If you didn't know yet, sunscreen is able to protect your skin from the suns harmful ultraviolet ray, which can cause skin ageing, fine lines, wrinkle, freckles and age spots that make you look older!

Recently, I have received an Althea beauty box from Althea's Angel Community and I was so excited to try out the NEW Althea's beauty product, which is also part of the Petal Velvet line! In fact, I am currently using the Althea Petal Velvet Powder. So, I am really happy to receive more petal velvet powders in 3 different colours (warm beige, translucent and pink lavender). They are really amazing, as it keeps my face oil-free the whole day.

Today, I am going to talk about the NEW Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway sunscreen.
Unlike any other sunscreens, the Petal Velvet Sunaway is a lightweight sunscreen with the sebum control that protects the skin from UV rays, yet to achieve velvety finish and petal-like skin. It is all thanks to their Micro Powder Barrier technology, which is able to control excessive sebum on the skin.

Some say that sunscreen often absorbs the moisture from our skin, which leads to drying skin. However, the Sunaway has Damask Rose extracts in the sunscreen, which can keep our skin moisturised and hydrated all day, yet keeping the skin fresh all day without any stickiness. Huge LOVE for it!

Furthermore, the Damask Rose extract has a natural nanomolecular composition, that is rich in vitamins and can even soothe irritations, leaving the skin smooth and feeling healthy.

What makes me even love the sunscreen even more is that it has an SPF of 50++ and PA++++, which is totally what I will need. Malaysia's sun is not kidding at all. It is scorching hot in the afternoon, especially when I am heading out for lunch.

The Sunaway sunscreen is in white colour, with a super liquidy texture, which runs smoothly on your skin. It doesn't leave any white cast, in fact, it brightens my skin a little, with a hint of radiant glow!

To be honest, I am super impressed that it absorbs to my skin really fast, leaving no stickiness behind. As you can see in the picture, it is not oily AT ALL!

HOW TO USE

1. Shake the bottle well before using it.
2. Apply an even layer onto the skin.
3. Allow it to absorb into the skin before applying your makeup/ going outdoors.

Verdict

Overall, I absolutely love this sunscreen, as it is super good and affordable. When it comes to skin protection, I always apply sunscreen after my skincare and it has become my routine. I am super happy with this Althea Petal Velvet Sunway, because one of my major fear when it comes to sunscreen is stickiness and oiliness. Now with the Sunaway, I have no worry about my skin because it is protected and evern the sun have to run away. Getit? Getit? HAHA.

Common Man Coffee Roaster is a café, offering great coffee and a full menu of brunch up to dinner in TTDI. I have always passed by the place but never get to visit it until recently when my friends asked for a brunch meetup.

Walked in the door, their little entrance indeed leads me to their huge space and impressive design of a nice waiting area.

While on the right-hand side, they have their merchandise nicely displayed on the racks. Merchandises such as coffee beans, coffee beans grinders, coffee brewing equipment as well as T-shirts are sold there.

I was pretty surprised by how spacious it is, as the place looked small and tiny outside. In fact, the cafe is one of those hipster cafes where every corner of the café is insta-worthy.

Common Man Coffee Roaster is known for its all-day brunch menu, such as  Common Man Full Breakfast, Egg Benedict, Brioche French Toast, Croissant Croque Monsieur and etc, and of course their coffee. They also serve lunch from 11.00am to 5.30pm with quite limited choices of salads, pasta, burger and sandwich.

Common Man Full Breakfast (Rm 39)
Comes with two free-range organic eggs in any style, streaky beef, smoked chicken sausage, confit herbed tomato, vegetable rosti, minted sour cream, wild mushroom, with honey-rye or multigrain bread.

We had our egg in scramble style, and everything is pretty delicious. The portion is not too huge, but definitely good enough for one. Thus, I think it is kind of overpriced for that serving.

Common Man Burger (RM43)
House-made bone marrow beef patties, provolone, sweet onion, aioli, crisp lettuce, and house-made pickle on fluffy brioche bun, served with fries.

I think we had our beef patties replaced with chicken patties because I have friends who can't eat beef and we feel like trying their burger. The patty is well seasoned and nothing much on the bad side. But I am not sure if we paid the same price as the beef patties. Hmm...

Spiced Chicken Mac and Cheese (RM 26)
Served with crispy pita chips.

I really love this dish because of the generous amount of chicken ham and cheese! It doesn't feel jelak at all because of the spice, yet it is not too spicy. Definitely, recommend this for cheese lovers.

Common Man Fluffy Pancake (RM29)
Served with caramalised bananas and walnuts, salted caramel sauce, nutty crumble and berry coulis.

After a full breakfast of savory choices, we ordered something sweet to fix our (my) sweet tooth. HAHA. They were indeed fluffy and moderately sweet, which I love.

Cappucino (RM15)

Coffee here is superb! It taste really good, with a very nice slight acidic taste. If you are more daring/ wanna try something new, you can have their UNcommon coffee, which is in the menu, but you have to ask the waitress cause it is always defferent.

Overall, I feel that Common Man Coffee Roaster is a great place to hang up with friends, as they serve really good coffee and brunch. But the prices of the food are on the higher side. :)
It it is located below AnyTime Fitness. In case you can't find the entrance, you will never miss out the huge fitness sign board. LOL.

Common Man Coffee Roasters

Opening Hours: Sun – Thurs: 8.00am to 6.30pm, Fri & Sat: 8.00am to 10.30pm

Hello! Harllow!

When is your last trip with your family and friends?
I seriously can't remember when's mine. It has been so long since I last travelled.

I am so grateful to be able to meet them, which I knew for like a few months (not even half a year). We click so well that we decided to have a 3 days 2 nights road trip to Penang. When going for a trip, the hardest part is not planning the itinerary, but the people who is going. Super glad that they are very easy going and ONS kind of person.

The whole trip is a very chill one, all about having fun and enjoying good food, that is recommended by the locals. Yup, 2 of them are Penang-lang, which made this trip to happen so successful. I think this is probably my first time visiting Penang because I have no memory for Penang at all. LOL

Here is what we have done and if you're lazy to read, you can just straight to the video ;).

For the first day, we had our breakfast at 7 Village Noodle House, where they serve really good noodle soup. After that, we sit the ferry to Georgetown and went to a nearby temple, Thai Pak Koong Temple. In fact, there are so many temples in Penang that we didn't know which one to visit, while Kek Lok Si Temple is a bit far from where we stay, so we decided to give it a pass. After that, we had some layered cakes at The Twelve Cups and decided to chill a bit in our Airbnb before dinner. Dinner was at a nearby food court which I can't really remember. We also walked around the 1st Avenue Mall and visited a nearby hidden bar, Magazine 63, before we really start our night at Ozoo.

For the second day, we had the best laksa and fried pohpiah at Penang Air Itam Laksa. We also have the Air Itam Sister Curry Mee, which is pretty famous, but we find the food So-So (not very nice) only. After filling our tummy, we went to Escape Park and spent half day there, which is not enough at all! Dinner was at 888 Hokkien Mee, and it is SOO Good! Cendol is very nice as well, so if you happen to be there, should defo try them. Had desserts (best tiramisu cake) at the longest and coolest cafe, China House. Before we had our supper at the famous fish head bee hoon at Village Fish Head Bee Hoon, we went to take some picture with the Penang mural art and Lee's Jetty. Fun fact, the Penang supper is pretty extreme because they love having spicy fish head noodle before they sleep. LOL.

For the third day, we had our dim sum nearby and went back to KL early in the morning.

Phiuh, yup, that's all for my Penang trip!
Sorry, not much picture, cause I keep focusing on taking videos that I neglected my photo.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy reading/ watching the video and I will see you guys soon.

Love,
CLYL.
