November is a birthday month ! Most of my friends and relatives are born in this month.
Happy birthday my friends and also those who're born in this month!
Besides wishing you guys a happy birthday, I also want to thank the mothers, who work so hard
just to give the best out of the best to their children (I know that 9months of pregnancy is not easy).

Saw this in Facebook and I think that it's very funny XD
No wonder I have so many friends born in November la !

4 Nov is my "brother's" birthday XD *cough cough* If you're reading, smile la ~ Don't get it so serious kay ;) Once again, happy birthday Ling Ling! Hope all the best to you and I am so glad that you're my friend. We have been in the same school for 7 years, and I just got to know you 2 years ago. (Luckily, I didn't miss the chance to know you after 5years).

You are one of the unique girl that I know, and you're always yourself, regardless what people say about you. You're always a good listener, and you're always the one who will entertain/corporate with me, when I did something silly. Happy Birthday my friend ! Hope that this cheesy message didn't freak you out XD

Yours sincerely,
Cheryl.

10 Nov ~ My best friend's boyfie, who is also my friend's birthday ;). Happy birthday Quan! Still remember that we have celebrated your birthday at Souled-Out Restaurant last year. This is my second time celebrating your birthday with you and I actually hope to join your following birthdays ;) I am glad that you enjoyed that night.

This year, we have went to Morganfield to celebrate your birthday, because your beloved girlfriend said that you like to eat meat XD This made me envy ! You know why? Because you still look so thin and tall ! And stop saying that Shi Kei is fat okay, it's you too thin. Btw, all the best in your studies, and good luck in Australia next year ;)

12 Nov, my pretty cousin sister's birthday. I feel so old d >.< It's like we're just kids playing hide and seek, running around the house, and I always go to your house after class. I didn't realise that the time flies so fast that you're already 21. I know that it will be my turn soon, but I don't feel like turning 21 leh. Two more years later, my skin will be losing elastic and I will be coming out to work already :O It sounds scary already.

I know that you will be having test real soon, and will have intern on January. Good luck, my dear ;)
Even though you're not going to read it, I will still support you here! Mentally :D

13 Nov, a very cute friend of mine is born in this day :D Thanks for being my friend Jia! I am glad that my mom is your mom's friend, and the fate made us to be friends. We're not like SUPER best friend, but it's worth for me to wake up so early in the morning just to give you a birthday surprise ;)

Luckily, the surprise was a succeed, and our effort was paid off (kind of). You still look pretty in your pyjamas and I don't mind seeing your sleeping face lor, as I have seen it before :P Hope all the best to you too and stay sweet with your man kay ;)

17 Nov, it's my favourite person, my family, and also my companion's birthday :D Who is this special person? She's the one, who loved me so much that she gave me what she had ! Yeap, that's right ! She's my mom. Actually I wanted to write a letter to you, but it's going to be too cheesy that I decided not to write one XP I know that you'll be keeping them like your treasures, like those cards that we have given you when we're small. I found that the older I got, the harder for me express myself well. Sorry for always making you angry, mom. I don't mean it :/ And

Happy birthday mom :) Love you~

It's also my cousin's and uncle's birthday! They have celebrated almost every year together on the same day, 17th of November. It's quite incredible that 3 different people, born on 3 different years, from 3 different families, can meet together and having the same birthday day.

The youngest goes to my cousin, who's only 15years old. Good luck in your PT3 Ching ;)
My uncle, is 30 years old older than my cousin. He's a Singaporean, and he always make sure that the three of them, will be celebrating birthdays together. Last year, they celebrated their birthdays in Malacca, and this year in PJ. He would rather drive a more than 3hours car, just to come to Malaysia and reunite with us. Like Always.
Mommy, the oldest one (will not be revealing her age here :P). Even though you're an old woman, who like to nag, you're still the woman that I love the most !

Happy birthday people ;)

Love,
CLYL

I know that you might be wondering, why am I still writing about my Bangkok trip,
and thought that I have written all. Yeah, I have written places that I have went and food that I have eaten. That's why it's a post Bangkok post !

Don't worry. This is going to be my last Bangkok post for the trip, which is about my hauls and outfits ;) After this, I will be blogging some random stuffs.
Or maybe another vacation post? (hopefully :D)

I have gone to Big C Supermarket on my 4th day to spend my left over money, as I won't be going to shop tomorrow (more food hunt).

Big C supercenter is like their Tesco/Giant in Bangkok, which provides everything that you need.
It's located just opposite the Central World.
I have spent around 900 baht there, and the below are some of the must buy food.

1. Salty Pocky (56.5 baht)
2. Tao Kae Noi Seaweed Roll- 2 rolls in one pack (20baht each)
3. Triple M seaweed (58 baht each)
4. Lays - original flavour, family pack (88baht)
5. Banana Pocky (58 baht each)
6. Pretz - Tom yam flavor ( 51 baht)
7. Kok Kae Peanut (65baht each)
8. Sour cream Lays- small pack (38baht)
9. Bento squid (18.50 baht)

(Not in the picture)
10. Tom Yam paste- small pack (18baht)
11. Mama Tom Yam instant noodle - 6 packs (65baht)

Besides that, I also bought Thai herbal balm, which can be used for bruise, mosquito bite, flu, and others.

1. Back pack (@Chatuchak for 150baht)
2. Man's backpack (340baht)
3. Feather-printed romper (@Chatuchak for 150baht)
4. Simple white dress (@Platunam for 100baht)
5. Black Dress (@Rod Fai market for 150baht)
6. Naraya classic small handbag & clutch (@Central World for 290baht)
7. BKK original bag (@Chatuchak for 200baht)
8. BOY crop top (@Platunam for 100baht)
9.  Simple white top (@Platunam for 110baht)
10. Crop top (@Platunam for 70baht)
      Black Bralet-below the photo (@Platunam for 150baht)
11. Shorts (@Platunam for 130baht each)
12. Sport/ casual shorts (@Platunam for 80baht each)
13. Loafers (forgot to put it in- @Platunam for 150baht)

So, basically I have bought most of my hauls at the market, as the clothes are super cheap, with the quality which is not bad (the colour didn't go off when I wash). Even though the quality is bad, it is okay to throw it away after wearing one time :P

Now, it's the OUTFITS !

Day1

Top - U.S POLO ASSN.
Leggings - @lovefashioncloset
Cap - Taobao
Shades - present from sister

Day 2 - @Chatuchak market

It has been awhile since I last wrote a dessert review.
So, today I am going to write about Miru Dessert Cafe, which you should definitely come and have a visit, if you like dessert and toast like me ;)

Last week, my friend recommended me a new cafe, which is located at Damansara Uptown.
When I first heard of Miru, I was like heh, it sounds like a Japanese word.
And I felt a bit odd that I didn't know a new cafe has came out there,
as the place is quite near from my house.

Yup, Miru Dessert Cafe is actually a Japanese dessert restaurant specialising in Shibuya Honey Toast and other desserts. It just opened 2 months ago, which is on September.

Some really cute design that I found in the cafe <3

The interior design

Date of the day <3

Kimmy, who was looking at the menu, are looking cute here :D

Why so cute la you ! ^.^

*the menu

Kimmy and I have been joking that it looks like Haraju Cube, if we put some Pocky or Pepero stick, and some fruits on top of the toast. Of course, the price of the toast in Haraju Cube is more expensive, due to the more fancy decoration of the toast.

We have ordered the signature, which is Shibuya Honey Toast (Rm16). It's a thick honey toast, topped with vanilla ice cream, and served with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.
It is the best toast I have ever tasted. No joke man ! That day, I was actually quite full, after having my lunch with Kimmy at Sri Hartamas. I didn't expect much about the toast, and I thought that I will only eat some mouthful of it, as I just had had my lunch. But then I ended up, eating half of it :D

The outer part of the toast is crispy, while the inner part is honey sweet yet soft <3
I wonder how they made it so tasty! Usually, I always made my french toast into outer black, inner soft; or outer soft, inner soft too :P (Except it's a honey toast not a french toast).
I was quite impressed, the moment I put it in my mouth and tasted it.
No wonder it has gone quite popular in the town in just 1 months + !

Some behind of screen of taking a nice photo of the toast XD

Thank you Kim for the photos. Thanks for being so patient <3

And also, selfie to remember the day :D
Took more than 10 photos and this is the only sefie we took, that I am satisfied #girlsbeinggirls

Last photo to end the day (post)

I might be coming back here for their chocolate toast, which is also quite hot there!
Who's with me ?  :)

Reading back my previous posts, I realised that I have not blogged about my uni life at all !
I have blogged about my pre-u life in MUFY, but not my uni life.
Then I wonder.... Why?

Hmm, maybe I was too busy? Maybe there's nothing interesting to write?
Or maybe I am just lazy? Whatever the reason is,
I should post some very random post of my uni-life next year :D
And again, it's not too late to start a thing, since I still have 2 more years to go ;)

My second semester in year 1 has officially ended, since I have done all my exam papers.
If you ask me, "do you have any regrets in the past year?".
If I say no, it's just a lie.

Even though I didn't want to admit it, sadly I have a lot of regrets in the past few months.
I regret that I didn't study harder ( as usual, I always study at the last minute).
I regret that I didn't save any money. I spent too much.
I regret that I didn't workout harder. I am still fat.
I regret that I didn't meet more friends. I am lonely.

It's quite sad to see everyone else with their new friends, while I am still with the same gang.
Not that I don't like to be with them. But we are going into different major.
We are no longer having the same lecture or tutor class. We have different timetable, different schedule.

Well, I am not anti-social. I do meet new friends in my class.
It's just that, I am a bit shy and I don't dare to speak out.
I wanted them to talk to me first. LOL ~
It's actually my problem right? I can't expect them to talk to me first,
and complain that I don't have friends.

Okay, it's actually a self-reflection kind of post.
I should be more optimistic, if I want to have more friends.
I should speak out first, if I don't want to eat lunch alone again.
I should save more money, so that I could spend more.
I should work harder, and leave no regrets !

Next semester, my uni life will be more interesting :)
It will get better and better. I believe.

Love,
CLYL.

Those who knew me, know that I love Kimchi.
But Kimchi is quite expensive (one small box cost like rm15+? ), and you can only find them in International supermarket, such as Cold Storage. I believe that supermarket like Tesco and Giant, don't sell Kimchi.

So, to save your (my) money, I decided to teach you guys how to make Kimchi at home :D
The ingredients are super easy to be found and all the ingredients are very cheap.

So let's get started !

Ingredients

1 (about 1kg) of chinese cabbage
60g salt

1 onion
5 pips garlic
30g ginger
1/2 apple

1 carrot (strip)
1 radish (strip)

5 tbsp chilli powder
2 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp apple vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 stalk spring onion

First, prepare all the ingredients that have mentioned above ;)

Then, cut the chinese cabbage lengthwise into 1/4

And rub each leaf with salt.

*Make sure that you have rubbed each leaf evenly.

Leave aside for about 4-5 hours.

Step 2: Chop the onion, garlic, ginger, and apple into small pieces.

And then blend them !

*Make sure that they're blended fine

Step 3: Cut the carrot and radish into strips

After that, put the blended mixture and the carrot and radish into a big bowl

Step 4: Add chilli powder,

fish sauce,

vinegar,

sugar and salt into the big bowl.

Not to forget to add the spring onion !

Mix them well and your kimchi sauce is done ;)

You can immerse the cabbage in the water if you want, to make the cabbage less salty.

*Make sure that you squeeze them dry

Step 5: Rub the cabbage leaf with the kimchi sauce evenly.

Lastly, put the kimchi into glass jar and press them until compact.

*leave the kimchi for ferment at room temperature for 1 day, and preserve it into the fridge after that.

Easy right !?
Besides that, I also made a video for those who are lazy reading this long post :D

Hope you guys enjoy making kimchi yourself and find this post helpful :)

CLYL

Very fast, October has gone, and November has come.
Sorry for the delay, as I am having my finals. #prayhard

Today, I am going to blog my October Favourites (obviously). Are you guys excited? :D
Okay, maybe you're not. But I am excited !
Because I have finished 2 papers of my final, and two more papers to go :D
And then, I will be free from stress ~

So, here goes my October favourites....

Oh by the way, I have created a new tag, which is favourite <3
I will be blogging my monthly favourites there (hopefully),
so go and check my previous month favourite ;)
If you haven't read.

For my October favourites, there is no books or novels. If you really want me to choose, I will choose my business law book XD Because I was having exams for the past few days, which mean that I used most of my time to read my course books. I am hardworking right :P

I actually reserved a book to read, when I am free, but I haven't started it, and there's no point telling a lie that I like the book, when I haven't even read the book. Even though my sister said that it's nice and she had already told me the plot :3 Might share it next month, if it's really nice ;)

1. Cosmetics

It's Kate product again <3
I got this Kate Liquid Eyeliner few weeks ago, and I found that it's really nice :D
It's my first time trying out a liquid eyeliner, and I think that it's very fluid and easy to use.
Even though I just used this for just 2/3 times, as I just got it, I love how easy it is to apply!
But, I recommend this to those who know how to draw eyeliner, and not beginners.
Because I think that it will be easier for you to learn to draw an eyeliner using a pencil first.

If you're curious, I was using the Mabelline Hyper Sharp liner before I change to this.
The Mabelline eyeliner is easy to use, but I found that the line is too thin for me. And I have to apply more than 3 times to thicken my eye liner. I think that it's more suitable for beginners or when you want to draw wings. It's eaiser to hold, and it's thinner. So, if you have carelessly drew it wrong, it won't be obvious, and you can just thicken the line to cover the mistake.

2. Song

JJ 林俊杰- 只要有你的地方 <3
This song is love <3 The rhythm is so nice, and I always love soft music.
Besides that, JJ Lin is always one of my favourite Taiwan singers :D
He is so talented and handsome! He's a singer, a songwriter and now he is an actor!
I admire guys, who have something for me to admire.

The movie looks nice. My sister even cried, when she was watching the trailer :')
And I want to watch and cry so hard when I am watching the movie XP
Silly me ~ I love watching sad movies or story books.
I love happy ending one too. And I think that I am weird.
I love happy and sad movies at the same time.
I think, as long as there's strong emotion, I will eventually love the movie. :)

3. Korean Drama

Mask ! The drama is so nice <3
I remember I shared the original soundtrack of the drama last month !
This drama is not very new, but it's not too late to watch the drama.
There's so many korean dramas coming out, and it's quite hard for us to choose when you don't even know which drama is nice. So, to make your life easier, I am going to share one of my favourite dramas every month :P (I watch 2-3 dramas at the same time).

As you guys know, I was having exams past few days, but I can't resist on watching drama. It's like a treat that I gave myself for studying so hard *cough cough* Hahahaha.

So, this drama is basically talking about the main actress (Byun Ji Sook), who was born in a poor family, having a huge debt, and the main actor (Choi Min Woo), who was born in a wealthy family.
Min Woo's brother-in-law wanted to revenge, therefore he made Min Woo to go insane and prevented Min Woo from being a successor.  Min Woo's fiancee, who has the same face as Ji Sook (doppelganger), died because of an incident, and everyone thought that Ji Sook is his fiancee.
Will Ji Sook deceive the whole family successfully and living happy ever after with Min Woo ? (romance)
Will Min Woo die because of his brother-in-law? (revenge)
Watch it yourself. if you want to know ;)

4. Photo edit app

Snapseed !
It's my sister favourite photo edit apps, and she recommended it to me.
Now, it has become my favourite app of all <3
Really love it and feel amazed with their editing function!
The function that I love the most is the selective adjust <3
You can adjust any spot that you want it to be brighter or contrast. It is amazing! And I don't find any other photo edit app like this.

See the huge different in the photo? I swear that I didn't filter or do anything to the original photo :P
And I am not that tanned because this photo was taken backlight >.<
My sister even said that I look like an Indian XD

It's available in both app store and android. Feel free to check this amazing app.
It might be hard to understand how it works at first, but you will eventually get used to it and
LOVE it ! Watching youtube tutorials might help you on how to use the app.

5. Youtuber

Found this very cute youtuber in my recommended box in Youtube.
And now I am going to recommend Sunnydahye to you guys ! I love watching her video, especially her story.

Sometimes, I tend to live on life that what people want me to be. Because I am scared of their judgement. So, I always tell myself to have a strong heart, and be myself who I want to be. Being the way they want me to be is just an opinion, not a statement. I am free to make my own choice. I should become more confident :) If you're scared of people judging you, you will forever trapped in your own comfy zone, and that's what others say "the quiet people".
Thus, I always encourage myself to be adventurous and let go all the worries to have a try.

This video actually encouraged me to go and try v-logging. To become a youtuber is not an easy stuff. As I said, I am scared of people judging me. But recently, I started to have interested on editing video :D (check out my previous post, my first time vlogging) All thanks to Suen, who taught me how to edit video and I have taken my first step toward a youtuber! :D

What I learnt is that never underestimate yourself.
The first step is always hard, but it will eventually okay :)
Btw, do you guys recommend me to speak English or Mandarin in the video? Just asking :)
Going to post another video after my exams.

Thanks for reading ^.^

Love,
CLYL.
