Life. What's life?

It's a hard question, isn't it?

According to Google, life is defined as existence of an individual living being.

Some people define life as to be able to do things that they want, living a life that they're yearning.
Some people think that to be successful is living a life.
Some people think that life is just a cycle, they eat, sleep, play, study, get married and grow old.

Everyone can live the life that they want.

What's life for me? I think I exist in this world because of my parents.
They made me. I am just another human being living in the earth.

Some people think that life is to keep learning.

I always feel that I have learnt nothing.

That is why I am always so loss.

What is so good about this world?
Without the love that my family and friends have gave me, I think I am just no one.

I always hate examinations. Because I can't score well.
I know I should go and study and not whining over here.

My friend once asked me, "since you hate studying and memorizing those "dead reading" (死读) stuff, why am I taking business and not art?"

This let me think for a while. WHY?
Maybe it's because I have never resist Business and I thought that I can work it out.

Sometimes I tend to stop doing something when it doesn't work out for me.
I always judged it too fast or....

I actually never put my heart in doing it?
That's why I don't enjoy doing it?

Sometimes, I am quite disappointed on myself.
Cheryl is still the old Cheryl. Never grow up even after so many years.

Always ask myself to work harder to achieve things that I want.
But that's just running in my brain.

In all honesty, I am just a lazy person, who like to find excuses.
Who's lazy to put heart in learning.

To follow your heart or brain?
Let's see who's stronger.

Hopefully writing all this out make my head clearer.
Instead of just thinking and do nothing good, I should go now.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched.
They must be felt within the heart.    ~ Helen Keller~

Sometimes, I feel like I am an attention seeker. I want the attention but I don't show it out.
Then how am I going to get the attention?

I don't really tell my friend that I own a blog or Youtube channel.
I don't share it out in my social media platform, where all my friends are because I am scared of judgement.

When I just started blogging, I don't think that someone will read my posts.
I blog, just for memories and also to share my thoughts.

Day by day, I can see that my blog is growing slowly.
It is not very noticeable, but I definitely can see the difference between my first blog post and my post now. There's a significant grow of views in my posts.

I shared the news with my sister. She congratulated me on the great achievement.
The first thing I thought was "Is that really an achievement that I should be proud of?"

What she told me later is that I should be grateful for what I get.
This has awaken me that my posts are from nothing, a one digit views to 2-3 digits of views.

Even though, I am not a popular or well known blogger, I still did gain some viewers.
I should be thankful.

It's really amazing looking at the views increasing day by day.
I didn't expect anything, but I just enjoy writing,
especially when you have no one to talk to.

Everyone has their own busy schedule.
So I can't expect them to be by my side all the time.

I am really grateful that my blog has been growing. But that is not where I am going to stop.

I am going to blog until I can't blog anymore.
Until I am fed up of blogging.

One of my life goals is to be known by more people.
I didn't think of being a popular blogger before, but now I have the thought.

I want my picture to pop out in Google image when someone typed my name in the search box.
I know it is kind of funny to have that kind of thoughts. But...
That's where I am going to achieve right now.

I am not a confident person because I always think that I am imperfect.
There is always space for me to improve.
But I believe that everyone is imperfect in their way.
That is why I am still blogging.

Don't ever give up even when you can't see the future in it.
Because one day, you will regret for not getting what you want without trying it.

CLYL

Cheryl in Melbourne #21 | vlog | Food Hunt | Games Laboratory

Friends and I went for food hunt in the city and we saw PIKACHU on the street !
We had our brunch at Hardware Societe and the food is pretty good. We enjoyed our food there, despite we queued for more than 30 minutes.
We also went to the biggest H&M store in Melbourne (I think), and surprisingly we didn't buy anything in that store !? Street performance is awesome and we enjoyed it while we're waiting for the tram.
Dessert was Gelato Messina, which is recommended by my friend.
After that we played some board game in Games Laboratory. It's FREE !
Lastly, We had our lunch at CJ Lunch Bar, it's awesome <3

It's a productive day with my friends and I really enjoy their accompany.
Thanks for making my day people <3

*posting an old post, which I have written last semester
Not sure why I drafted it for so long xP *

I am proud of myself.

WHY?

Because I am no longer using my parents money.
Erm, I should say I am big enough to earn my own pocket money, instead of asking them
 from my parents :D

I feel like I have grown up just in one night.
When my mom started not to give me pocket money.
But I still use their money for educations and living la.

I still remember that the first part time job that I got is when I was 15 years old, form 3.
My friend asked me whether I can help him, to work for 2 days at a cafe.
And that's my very first experience working :)

That time, it is illegal to work when you haven't reached 17 or 18 years old.
So, the owner of the cafe asked me to disguise as her niece XD.
It's a great experience, even though I just worked for 2 days, and I got my very first pay,
which is not from my parents.

My second job was being a promoter in a clothes store, BEGA. It's actually a Singapore based clothing store. That time, I was 17 years old, form 4, and I worked during my school break. I worked for 2 months until Christmas, and I got like almost a thousand of salary for that 2 months.
I was so happy when I got my pay, and I treated my family a dinner using my  own money.

It was my first time treating my whole family using my HARD EARN money :D
I feel so satisfied, and like I have grown up so much ^.^
And all the hard works are paid off, when my family were enjoying the meal, and I got to buy things that I want too. But instead of using all my money, I saved 60% of them :)

That's the kind of accomplishment that one cannot imagine,
if they have not earn their money before.

One thing that let us know why we should earn money ourselves.

In western country, the parents make their children to go outsite and live on their own, without helping anything (maybe at the begining their parents helped them a little). But later, they have to make their own living themselves. They're more independent than the Asians.
And I somehow like their way of culture.

But my salary can only afford my own pocket money. If I am going for an exchange in Australia next semester, I might not have sufficient money to feed myself. Especially when the currency in Australia is triple of Malaysia :O How am I going to afford myself?

So yea, but now, I didn't really take money from my parents, except the cost of living and transport (aka petrol). The others like meals, snacks, stationary, and clothes, I bought it with my money :)

Sharing an interesting video with you guys. About how much we actually spent in a day :)

Today I am going to share what we have bought for grocery. We didn't realize that we bought so much, until we film this video. The grocery vlog was actually 15min+ before I edit and cut it, without adding other parts of the day that I have filmed. The video is so long, that I have to fast forward it to make it shorter. It took me some time to shorten the video as short as possible, but still, the total vlog is 17min+.

Hope you guys enjoy watching it and I will see you guys next time

I have not written a food post for the longest time.
Since I am now at Melbourne, so I was wondering why not I write a food review about the cafe here?
There's so many cafe and good food over here (even more than Malaysia), so I am really excited whenever I go for food hunt with my friends.

This cafe that I am going to introduce is Manchester Press. It is actually a laneway hideaway cafe. When I first reached the place, I was a bit scared because it's hidden in laneway, which I, as a Malaysian, will think of burglary and bad things happen.

Image result for manchester press laneway

Fortunately, nothing went bad and google map didn't fail us.
We arrived the place safely and got our name on the waiting list.

While waiting for our turn, I got some pictures of the cafe.

The interior

The atmosphere is very cosy.

I really like their design, which is minimalist.

The Menu

They have variety of food to choose, from breakfast to salad, and also bagels.

It's even vegetarian friendly and I had a hard time deciding what to eat.

Cappuccino ($4)

This is quite good. The coffee is very smooth. I regretted for not drinking it when it's still warm.

I saw a lot of people ordering their Matcha Latte, which I think it's their best seller.
I feel like ordering that, but I was craving for coffee, so I didn't order that :(

Feel like I have missed something real nice.

Smoked Salmon ($15)

Sliced smoked salmon, baby capers on top of a dill cream cheese schmear.

I don't know what to order, so I ordered the safest choice of all, which is the smoked salmon.
The cream cheese matched very well with the smoked salmon and I really love the combination!
Except that the bagel is a bit hard to my preference. I wonder is all bagels that hard ?

Oh yeah, and the pretzels ! It's salty !
I really love the crunchiness of it, but it's just too salty for us. There's more salt than we thought they have put. If they change the salt to sesame, I will really appreciate it <3

Brian's cup of tea.

I am not sure what he ordered but I think it's pretty good, because I hear no complain about the tea.
He is more to a tea lover, than a coffee person.

14 Hour BBQ Pulled Pork ($16)

Texas style BBQ pulled pork, soaked in BBQ sauce, and topped with house made slaw and pickles.

The pork is marinated really well with the BBQ sauce, but I think that I will get jelat if I have eaten too much. They are really generous on the meat though.

MP Club Sandwiches ($15)

Thick cut turkey, grilled bacon, cheese, sliced tomato and mixed greens, topped with cranberry and chilli plum relish.

I think this is pretty good, but Kei doesn't like it because of the jam.
It is combination of all taste sensation, including sweet, saltiness, softness and hardness.

I am pretty satisfied with the food here.

I had a good experience :)

I shall end my post over here.

Thanks for reading :)

Love,
CLYL.
