Popiah is a Hokkien style of fresh spring roll. It is well known in Hokkien family where I was born ^.^ . Yes! I am a Hokkien and I love popiah, especially grandma's popiah. She has her own way on making it and it can not be compared with the popiah where we bought outside. The popiah that grandma made, is the most delicious popiah that filled with her love <3

All of us, included grandma's sisters, daughters and granddaughters, helped grandma in preparing the ingredients. It is easy but need a of patience to cut all the ingredients into small pieces. It is easier to wrap the popiah if the ingredients are all sliced as the popiah skin would not explode so easily.

We had all our ingredients prepared and started to make our own popiah!

First, we need the most important thing, which is the popiah skin. The popiah skin is very soft and thin like a crepe that made from the wheat floor. You can buy this from the supermarket. It is better to put a wet clean cloth on top of the popiah skin to prevent it to be too dry. If it the too dry, it is very hard to be peeled out.

The second important thing ! Which is the sauces ~ Without the sauce, the popiah would not be tasty. The main sauce is the sweat sauce and the chilli sauce.  The coriander and garlic are not necessary to be put in the popiah. The old generation of people like to eat popiah with coriander and garlic but the modern generation of people do not like the taste of coriander and garlic.

The third important ingredient ! Which is the jicama ( which is also known as bangkuang) I do not know how the bangkuang was done but the only thing that I know is without the bangkuang,  it is like the pizza without the cheese <3. This bangkuang is cooked with some carrots and shrimps and maybe with some meat ;)

So from this onward, they are just sub main ingredients. You can put whatever you like and do not put whatever you do not eat. This is the uncook lettuce which is better to be put above the sauce and popiah skin but below all the other ingredients (included the bangkuang). It is like the base of the ingredients.

The eggs ~ It has to be fried in the frying pan and cut into slices like the picture above

The fried tofu. The tofu is cut into small pieces before it is fried in the oil. It is better to cut it before you fry it as all the surfaces of the small tofu will be fried evenly.

Erm, this is actually the long bean. I just realised that this picture is so blur :3 It is also cut into small pieces and fried in a frying pan

The small prawn. It is cooked in a boiled water. It is your choice to either fry it or boiled it :)

The bean sprout. It is also boiled in the water added with some salt

The way I wrapped my popiah on a flat plate :D It is easier to wrap the popiah if you put all the ingredients in a side.  You can aslo put some chopped peanuts or peanut powder and crispy in your popiah to make it tastier.
So, that is all about popiah that I have learnt from my grandma. The traditional hokkien popiah ~ ^.^ Hope you like it

This is my first freelance work and it's Duracell battery :o

Hmm ~Although this is my first freelance work, it's not my first promoter work. I had worked in Bega Boutique in one utama shopping mall as a promoter before.

As I mentioned in one of the blog I posted, I had gone to PA recruitment to interview part time job and this is the job that they offered me.

This is the booth that I set up in Tesco Paradigm Mall

And there's this cute Duracell bunny accompany me ^.^ It had made my day up :)

Duracell battery had gone back to America and disappeared for a few years and now it has back with a new improved technology!
Duracell battery had gone disappear few years ago because a lot of customer had complaint about the leakage of the liquid in the battery. Duracell was one of the customers' favourate brand last time. But after the incident, Duracell got a lot of bad feedback and this made them to go back to their country to improve their technology.

Duracell battery is NOW BACK! And it's with their improved technology, which is 6 times stronger than those normal battery 👍 For an example, the toy car which is with Duracell battery can last longer than the ordinary battery. People might say that Duracell battery is pricy as it's more expensive than Eveready battery or Tesco battery. But the truth is, Duracell battery can last longer which mean that you no need to change the battery so frequent and no need to buy so much of battery!

Moreover, Duracell battery is now has a technology, which is anti-leakage! The scientists have invented a technology to prevent the leakage of the liquid and they called that Duralock! Therefore, there's no problems of leakage of the liquid anymore!

Besides that, Duracell is having promotion now! If you're using Energiser battery, you may think of Duracell battery because Duracell battery is having promotion now, which is cheaper!

The normal price for 4+2 pack of AA/ AAA Duracell battery is Rm12.90. But now! It's just Rm10.90
The normal price for 8+4 pack of AA/ AAA Duracell battery is Rm20.90. But now! It's just Rm16.90
If you think that the discount is not much, don't worry ! Duracell is giving out free gifts ! XD Don't you get excited about it ?

If you purchase any Duracell battery, you can get a transformer phone hanger.
If you purchase a Rm10 or above of Duracell battery, you can get a Duracell magnet fridge board with a magnet marker pen.
If you purchase a Rm15 or above of Duracell battery, you can get a Duracell bunny soft toy. ^.^

If you think that the free gifts is not attractive, then I think that you won't want to miss out this ! Because I also don't want to miss out a chance to win a Instax Camera 8s <3

So how to win ?
1. You can have take a picture with the Duracell bunny at any of the Tesco outlet
2. Upload it to your Facebook and hashtag my moment with Duracell (e.g #mymomentwithduracell)
3. Get friends to like it ( most liked will get a chance to win)
4. The like duration will be 7 days (e.g 15Nov upload to fb, 22 will announce the winner )
5. Winner will be informed by social media or a phone call

*theres 10 outlets of Tesco having this promotion and 4 Instax Camera 8s are giving out*

Last photo but not the least one! Secretly took a selfie during work xD *the angle problem*

Since my holidays have started, my friends and I have been thinking where to go to destress from the tension of the final examination :D

After some discussion, we have agreed to have a short getaway to Sekeping Serendah. ^.^ Although there's some dispute among us when we are planning the trip, we tried to tolerate each other and solve it to achive a both win (win x2) result.

We went off in the morning, around 11am, to Sekeping Serendah. Luckily there's no jam on the way there :) We had our brunch at the rest area along the highway to Sekeping. There's not much choice of food for us to choose. One of my friend and I have nasi lemak and the others have bun to fill in our stomach.

This is the first photo I took over there. Sometimes, my friends really cannot stand me as I always take my phone to snap picture here and there ^.^ Sorry for making you guys to wait for me to take photo and thank you for tolerating me <3 love you people 😘

The check in time was 2pm and we arrived there early. Therefore, we went to visit the whole place by walking here and there. We have explored a lot of small path ways and it's adventurous :)

It's very nice to have a short getaway from the city 😌 The air here is very fesh and cool. Unlike the hot and smoky city. We enjoyed a lot 😊

Selfie with all of them ^.^

Also, we won't forget about the group photo ;) 📷

The girls' group photo. We girls like to take more photos compared with guys. And I think it's one of the girl's nature. ;) See the last one~ :P I was so happy and opened my mouth so big when I was laughing

I was trying to be creepy in that place as the place is very quiet and it makes me feel like pranking my friends xD

Feel the nature | Feel the air

Swim ~ is one of the activities that we can do in Sekeping ^.^

After swimming, it's already 6pm and all of us are starving. We took out the food that we brought and waited the people to come and prepare the fire for us to barbecue. The person who's incharged will ask us when to barbecue when he's taking us to our chalet.

Food <3 we have prepared chicken wings, smoked bacon, cheese sausages, corns, tomatoes, lettuce and Japanese cucumbers. *we have to prepare our food as they do not provide any of the food except 3in1 milo and Nescafé *

After that, we have barbecued marshmallow as our dessert <3

Selfie + Movie + Baconette strips kind of night :)

Sexy legs ~ lol xD it's a 2days 1night trip. So, after our simple breakfast, we headed back to Kuala Lumpur :)

Last photo before we leave the place C:

Do you want to know how our glass shed chalet looks like ?
Here's the photos 😊
The outer design where the building is made of glasses and surrounded with trees
The living room design where the chair is made of wire and cushion only
The bedroom where there's 1 queen size bed and 2 single size bed and 2 extra single size bed. All of them are with mosquito nets! So you no need to worry about the mosquito will suck up all your blood xD
The barbecue area

It's actually a Forest living environment.
There is Outdoor shower, but you no need to worry as there's shower curtain *forgot to snap a pic of it*
There's also Cooking stove, kettle, oven toaster, BBQ equipments and cutletries, fridge and kitchen sink.

Food  <3 😍 I love food! Today, I'm going to share about food ^.^ who likes good food? 🙋 *raise your hand*

Have you heard about The Read Beanbag ? I have heard it from a lot of people and they said that I should go and try it!

So~
I decided to go and try it out with my cousin and younger sister 😊  And I'm the driver of the day  🚙 *vroom vroom*
This is my first time driving down to Publika, Kuala Lumpur. And it's also my first time driving my cousin 😏 *Dont worry! I'm totally a safe driver*

Let me slowly introduce the foods that we ordered~
The left one from the picture is Egg Benedict ( it's made of poached eggs with hollandaise, spinach, mushrooms, and streaky beef bacon or turkey ham on 2 pieces of fluffy French toasted bread) ~ Rm24

The right one from the picture is Egg Atlantic. It's poached eggs with hollandaise, spinach, mushrooms, and smoked salmons on 2 pieces of fluffy French toasted bread) ~ Rm24

The name of the middle one is called Skyscraper. It's stacks of fluffy pancakes drizzled with maple syrup and chocolate sauce, served with oaramelised bananas and assorted berries. ~ Rm19

For me, the foods are okay only. I love the Skyscraper the most because it's sweet and I love chocolate and berries 😍 And I don't like poached egg ! XP I don't like the taste of the egg yolk :(it's disgusting me and make me feel like vomiting) But overall, it's okay, it's just the poached eggs that matter.

The thing that we will never forget to do :D *selfie*

And also outfit of the day! ;) Today's style is going to be casual wear. Just a normal top with shorts matching with sandals and sling bag :)

To contact ~
it's somewhere near Publika. You can park your car in Publika parking lot ;)

10/11/2014 what's so special on this day ?
It's my friend, Hsiu Quan aka Brian's big day 😄 👏 *clap clap* *balloon* *fireworks*

The only selfie we got 😂 haha
We should take more selfie la. Although I know that ur girlfriend will jealous xp okay we shouldn't ~ later ur girlfriend will kill me 😝

Me and my friends have decided to make a surprise celebration for Brian and our plan goes on like this:
Gather together first, then buy cakes, then go to his house, secretly messages his girlfriend to open the door, prepare the cakes with candles, go to his room and surprise him with birthday song 🎉🎊🎈

So~~
I was supposed to meet at one of my friends' house at subang. And I was lost in the way going there xD (told ya, I'm a road blind :p) Then I used Waze, my best friend, to find out the way. Fortunately, it din't disappoint me and lead to kindergarten usj12, where I was supposed to meet my friend at smk usj12 😂
I called my friend that I was at the kindergarten and I can't find smk usj12. Then my friend was like laughing there, and told me that it's just opposite of smk usj12 xp

After I met my friends at kindergarten usj12, we went to buy 12 slices of different flavored of cakes at RT bakery at ss15. (There's more than 12 flavored of cake there~ you can simply name one and it'll be there ;)
There's choc cake, tiramisu cake, cheese cake, blueberry cheese cake, mango cake, green tea cake, sesame cake, and other cakes that I can't remember the name 😝 ( if you realized, there's only 9 slices on the table! Where's the other 3 ? They have been eaten by someone ~~xD )

After we went to his room to surprise him with the cakes, he was not really surprised 😕 like he has expected this ~
Guys don't get surprised easily huh ? :/

Then we went to souled out for dinner 😍😋
Fish and chips 🍴 for RM30

Milk shake for RM17 ( This is expensive :3)

Outfit of the day ☺️ credit to Shi Kei, aka Brian's girl friend. Thanks for the nice photo you have taken for me

Selfie 📷

There is only three of us who are girl in the gang :D selfie with Shi Kei (left) and Yee Jia ( right ). Both of them are taken :3 And I'm the only one who's single BUT not available :P
*It is so stress to take selfie with both of them bcoz my face is too chubby d 😱*
