Yay ! It's food post :D Who's hungry?

Today, I am going to share about this Lune Croissant that I went.
It's actually quite popular in Melbourne and
I believe that a lot of people has already known this place.

Friends and I woke up at around 5am and we sat the 6am train to city and
reached the place around 7am. We already knew that there will be line early in the morning,
but we still got shocked by the long line, as the store opens at 8am.

My friend said that the croissants are alway sold out after a few hours,
which explain the long queue outside the store

So, is it really worth the hype ?

Let's find it out together :)

Things that people do outside the store while lining up for the croissant.
Take photos :)

MENU

The minute I stepped in Lune Croissant, the smell of croissant just came in and make me so hungry.

The store is filled with the smell of freshly baked croissant.
So good and amazing. <3

Looking at the menu and didn't know what are they?

No worry, they even lay out the croissants on the table for people to make their orders easier.

Almond ($8.50)

The original croissant aux Amandes, prepared with Almond Frangipane & garnished with a healthy amount of flaked almonds

I have ordered this and I think that it's pretty good. It's so crispy outside and soft inside.
There is even filling of almond in the croissant, which give extra marks for the croissant !
Surprisingly, I am actually full after eating the croissant. I thought that I can eat 2 croissants, as I am pretty hungry that time :P

Kouign Amann ($6)

Traditional pastry from the Bretagne region of France, laminated with sugar and baked in a buttered, sugared mold until caramelized.

Friend ordered this and she loves it ! If you have a sweet tooth, you definitely need to try this.
The caramelized swirls of flaky, and layered of butter on the pastry, make it super tasty and sweet.
I personally think that it's too sweet for me, but sinfully nice.

Ham & Gruyere ($8.50)

A croissant baked fresh with a filling of shaved ham, Swiss Gruyere and seeded mustard

Another friend of mine ordered this. This is more to savory kind of croissant, compared to the first two croissants that I have mentioned.

Interior design

The dining area ?

I think that their interiors are pretty artistic. It is kind of simplicity, which I really like.
The older I get, I feel that the simpler, the better.

The coffee section.

Sadly, I didn't get to try their coffee. So, I can't really tell you guys whether they make good coffee.
But I believe that most of the coffee in Melbourne are good :)

I think this is their Lune Lab

The Lune Lab is an exclusive experience where you will be the first to sample their most experimental pastries. You will be seated at the private bar overlooking "The Cube" to see how they make the croissant, and be served a three course pastry flight, while interacting with the bakers and pastry chefs.

*To sit on their Lune Lab, you will have to make a booking for this session because of limited space.

Overall...

I think that the croissants are a bit over-rated. The price of the croissants are quite high, and also the queue is super long. If friends and I didn't go there early, we might have to queue for a longer time.
I even saw reviews saying that if you go there late, you might not be able to buy the croissant too.

But the croissants are really nice <3

Will I recommend people to go?

Yeah, why not?
But I might not go back again, as I don't want to go through all the queue again. :P

So that's all for the post and thanks for reading.

CLYL

想念, mean miss, a feeling of longing and yearning something/someone.

Got inspired by my friend Suen. She blogged this two words.

We said that she is lazy because the post consisted only 2 words, which is more like a tweet.

But she said that it's a strong word, the word explains everything itself.

The feeling of missing someone/something.
I am not sure what did she refer. It can be a thing or maybe a person.

The longer I look at the word, the more feeling I got.

And I am going to write them out here.

Miss, it is came from the feeling of once having it.
It can come from a very small thing.

I miss you.

I miss my bed.

I miss my friends.

I miss my mom's food.

I miss the weather in Malaysia.

I miss the good times.

I miss the old me.

I miss my parents.

I miss my sister.

And all this concluded, I miss home :)

See you guys there in less than 20days.

My home, Malaysia.

Cheryl in Melbourne #28 | vlog | Petaling street at Melbourne

In this video:

Friends and I went to Monash University Clayton to discuss assignment. I was super excited as it's my first time using iMac in school and I am kind of forgetting how to use Apple products d. LOL.
I even edited my video at shool after discussion. I just can't stop using it. It is so nice and smooth and the screen is so big. Totally love Apple products.

We also went to Petaling Street that's located at Clayton. We feel so nostalgic about the good food in Malaysia. I started to miss home d :)

Hope you guys enjoy watching it and I will see you guys next time.

Counting down to 2017.

Very fast, 2016 will be history and 2017 is coming.

40+ more days later, will we still be the same?
I am not sure but I believe that some of our favorites may change :)

What I have done in September and October?

As you can see, I have done nothing much. (All thanks to exams o.o)
That's why I am combining both of the month's favorites in one post.

1. Book

Ps I still love you   (Photo from Thereaderbee)

I have said that I love the first book in my June's Favourite. Only after a few months later, in September, I finally got the chance to read the book ! Yay to Monash Library !
I have suggested Monash Uni to buy this book for me and guess what!?
I finally got to borrow this book from the library, without spending a single money :D

So this book is to continue the first book ,To all the Boys I've loved before.
Lara Jean didn't realise that she had really fallen for Peter until they broke up.
She went back to Peter and wrote him another letter just like she used to write letters to all the boys she had loved before. It's a story of a insecure girl toward her boyfriend.
It's a really cute love story, that I will definitely reread again.  <3

Betrayed, by P.C. & Kristin Cast

Betrayed is the second novel of the House of Night Fantasy series.
I am not sure whether I have put the first book (Marked) as one of my previous favorites, but this House of Night Fantasy series are definitely underrated.

The book is easy to understand, nothing too complicated or words that are too fancy and most importantly, it is so interesting ! I couldn't know what will happen next and
it keeps trigger me to keep reading it.

2. Song

Chainsmoker - All we know

Currently loving this song so much.
Chainsmokers never fail me with their incredible good music.
Even though I am not good at singing, I still enjoy listening to the song, and humming the rhythm.

One Ok Rock- Wherever you are

This song is soo nice.
Love this song so much, super got FEEL !
You guys might not agree with me, but I found that I can feel the song when I was watching the drama, Love at Sandstorm. There is always that moment, where the music will start playing, and the scene just matched perfectly with the song.

That is why I always love OST :)

3. Drama

Cinderella and 4 knights.

Ha won is a high school student who dreams to be a teacher. She has a life that similar to Cinderella's. She needs money for her college, but her stepmother didn't want to afford her.
One day, she meets the Chairperson of Kang Enterprise. He offers her the chance to go to college, in return, she has to accomplish the mission of reuniting his 3 grandsons.

All of his grandsons have very strong personalities.
But having the good look and money, they are allowed to do things that they want.
It is a romantic drama and I kind of envious Ha won, as she got to stay with the grandsons :P

Love at Sandstorm

This is a Taiwan drama.
After so long, I am finally sharing a Taiwan drama.

It's actually a series, presenting all 8 different stories,
telling all different kind of relationship, including family, friendship and couple.
The story is quite interesting, unlike those Taiwan drama, having the same story line again and again.
It is pretty funny and a bit 18+ (scene of sexy girl with only bikini :P)
