Hey people, I am going to Singapore this coming Saturday !
I sound so excited though. hahaha

This is not my first time travelling to Singapore,
but this is definitely my first time traveling only with my younger sister !

If you have been following my instagram or social meadia,
you might already know that I am very close with my younger sister.
Thus, I can't wait to go travel with her.

My last trip to Singapore was back in 2014 and I still can remember it clearly.
We went to Esplanade, Merlion park and also celebrated Christmas there.

Normally when I go to Singapore, I always go to visit my relatives,
which can be quite boring sometimes.

This time, I am going to fully utilised my 3 days 2 nights there.
Sister and I have planned to visit the museum, Garden by Bays, and The Southern Ridge.
It's going to be a fun trip, despite I still have a lot of work to do.

During this trip, I am going to vlog some of the footage for you guys.
Also, I am going to try their Llao Llao and Seoul spicy burger and Kimchi fries from Mcdonald!
My cousin told me that Llao Llao in Sg is way nicer than Malaysia.
So I really want to try whether it's true or no :D

BTW, if you know any nice hidden place in Singapore, feel free to tell me :)
Much appreciate !

Love,
CLYL

Who love Korean BBQ ? :D

Even though I am still on  my diet, I can't reject this great deal !

I was so excited when my friend told me that there is Rm25-27 BBQ buffet in Sunway !
The price is really affordable and food is really good for that price <3

Photo taken from their FB

The environment is open air, and very well ventilated, which is great.
My hair did smell like barbecue, but it's not very bad.

The pancake is very nice.
But it's quite sad that it's just plain pancake, not kimchi pancake or seafood pancake.
So I added some side dishes, like kimchi on top of it and it tastes really good.

The side dishes taste very good as well.
I love their kimchi, potato and the bean sprout !
I didn't expect that they have so many choices for side dishes because of the price.

They also have this soy bean soup. But I personally prefer kimchi soup.
My friend said that they served her kimchi soup when she first visited !
Why they don't serve me that when I visit ? xP
Indeed, the soup doesn't taste that bad, because they put some chilli in the soup,
which make it taste like spicy soy bean soup.

The MOST exciting part !

Unlimited pork refills with unlimited time :D
The pork taste really good. But they only provide one kind of meat, and one kind of pork.

Oh well, with that price, we shouldn't expect much.
What is amazing more is that they don't serve dry or fat pork !
The pork is in half fat and half meat, which is really awesome <3

Service is really good.

The staffs go around with un-cook pork for customers to refill.
They are very friendly and immediately pass you the lettuce when you asked for refill.

Unlimited side dishes refills with unlimited time as well !

The side dishes were full of veggies, which can help to ease the oiliness.
Kimchi is really refreshing and I love it so much.

Look at my lovely friends !
They enjoy their food so much that they can't stop eating xD

I will definitely come back to visit again and also recommend it to my friends who love korean BBQ !
So worth it <3

Hope you guys find this post helpful and thanks for reading :)

CLYL

I have never attend this kind of forum in my life before.

I am really thankful JY who introduced MUIG to me.

I never thought of joining investemnt club or being a committee. I was once a very commitment and active member/ committee back in my high school. I wonder why I became less active and even lazy to join any club in my university.

I must be changed. :o

Last week, I was represented as sub committee of investment club to the booth in my campus.
The booth is to gain awareness and tell people who are interested in working in banking and finance sector in the future.

Surprisingly, we got a lot of attendance from Year 1 students and even students outside Monash University. This let me think what I have done during my Year 1, while others are so anticipated on joining this kind of meaningful forum !

To be honest, I enjoyed and learnt a lot in Monash Investment Group.
I wish that I know there is this kind of club existed in Monash earlier.

I attended their first event of the year, which is Discover MUIG.
It was a talk to give students some insights into the world of value investing, by Chern Hong, a value investor from 8I Education. It was a really interesting talk and I gained so much on that day.
The topic is just mind blowing ! I didn't know that we can be one of the many to earn 1M, starting with 5k.

Back to the forum

The speakers of the forum are Sylvia and Terence. They are really nice and helpful.
Sylvia is the managing director, head of financial markets Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia,
while Terence is a very successful young equity research analyst in Public Mutual Berhad.

At first, I thought that it will be a very boring and typical forum, but NO !
I have so much fun, laughing and gaining knowledge at the same time.
The forum turned out really good and the team got a lot of good feedback from the participants.
Indeed, the forum is a success.

Let me share with you guys one of the funny incident happened on that day.
I was in-charged in keeping the time(aka time keeper) with another girl.
My job is basically to make sure that the event go smoothly, according to the plan.
So, I am supposed to raise an A4 paper of "3" and "5", to hint the moderator that the speaker has already spoke for more than 3/5 minutes for each question that has been asked.

Of course, we are not trying to be rude to stop the speaker from speaking too much.
But to tell the moderator that we have not much time left for next question.
I feel that the forum is too short, as it only held for 1.25 hour.
All of us enjoyed so much and we wish that the forum can be longer.

And then Sylvia saw it and she knew what the papers actually meant !
I was damn embarrassed when she look and nodded at me.
And then the next thing she said was " I know we are running out of time, because this girl in front of me keep raising the paper up, but I am just going to simplify and make it short"
And then everyone laughed. Probably laughing at my clumsiness :P

My inner voice was  like " Oh shyt, she knew it !" I feel that I am damn rude and I don't know whether to continue raising the paper. The papers were actually meant to alert the moderator not the speaker.

After the forum, I quickly went in front and apology to Sylvia for interrupting her and making her uncomfortable. Because I look like I am rushing them, while they made an effort to come to Monash!
Fortunately, she said that she's just joking and trying to make the forum lively.

Phiuh *release*

Dinner is served when we came out of the hall.
Food is provided and it's really good.
They have aglio olio ham, potato egg, salad, chicken wrap and their highlight BROWNIE !
Mai god,  so nice <3

Oh btw, check out the video that the MUIG IT team did !
It is really amazing for a student, who do it for the first time :)

https://www.facebook.com/muinvestmentgroup/videos/1899319997015424/

Selfie with my MUIG t :)

There will be more events coming out in MUIG and I can't wait to be part of it.
BTW, you can always check their FB for more info and upcoming events if you're interested.

Thanks for reading !

Hi guys, I'm officially 21 now.
It's a big thing for most of us, because it means that we are adult, and have to be mature and behave like a grown up.

I am a person with full of curiosity. I always have tons of questions for my mom and she always say that one day when I grow up, I will know it eventually.
It is true. Even though I have already forgotten what I have asked, I am sure those questions that I have asked are something silly.

21 is another age stage.
I am an adult and I should be responsible to take any consequences and decisions that I have made.
Stepping into adulthood, I realized a lot of things and have more thoughts than I ever have.

It can be a little frustrated to think so much, but it is a process.

1. It is the best and last year for us to do something crazy.

Most of us get to work place after 21. It is the last year where you can tell yourself to be wild and crazy for the last time.

2. Life is not all about living in the moment.

How naive I was, when I always think that God will lead me to the path that I belongs to. It is true that living in the moment is very important, but we can't ignore the future. It is not like it won't come if you don't worry about it. Even if God lead you to the door of future, you have to work hard to get the key and be qualified.

3. Future is in your hand.

You decide who you want to be and how you are going to do it. I always follow the flow. I follow whatever that lead me to. When I was in form 3, I never think of studying in a science or art class. I follow what my grades lead me to. When I was in pre-u, I never think of what to work after uni. I make my choices according to what affect me in the surroundings.

4. No one can help you, unless you help yourself.

What people can do is just merely concern. They can't help you to do decision or decide the path for your future, they can only give advice. You are the one who should be deciding yourself.

5. Learn to love yourself.

It is really pathetic when one doesn't know how to learn themselves. When you don't love yourself, why are you expecting people to love you? One of the key to love yourself is to be confident, and I am still learning it.

6. How outgoing introvert and negative I can be.

Life has never been easy. I always motivate myself but I still can't help having negative thoughts.
*shoo, throw all the bad thoughts away*

7. Stress-less life is so precious nowsadays.

Sometimes, I do not know what I am stressing about. The world is more than what I thought. You can never survive in such a competitive world if you don't grow.

8. I am getting older

I can't afford of not taking care of myself. I can't sleep late. The moment I sleep late, something bad will happen on my face the next day. And people around me will start asking me whether I am very stress.

9. I care about what people think of me.

I don't care what people think about me when I was young. Yea I called the immature self as  young.
I can't wear my comfy top or shirt to school. I always makeup and make sure I look presentable.

10. Gossip less

You won't like people to gossip about you. So stop gossiping about others. Gossiping can't bring you knowledge. But sometimes, gossiping helps to develop conversations.
A lot of people don't listen. They like to talk only. Listening to others can help you in a lot of ways. I learnt to listen, but I talk less now.

11. It is never as good as it looks. Also, it is never as bad as it seen.

There is no limit for a thing, no matter it's for good or bad. There won't be the best or the worst. When you think that it's your best day, you are just limiting your own happiness. If you think that it's the worst, there might be something worse happen. As what it says, it can't be as bad as it seen.

12. Always challenge yourself and don't be afraid to make mistakes.

We are just too afraid to make changes. Changes might not be a bad thing, but it makes out routine differ. No mistakes means no changes, no changes means no improvement, no improvement means you will drop behind of others.

13. Forgive.

Learn to forgive people and you will be happier. The way I look at something always changes according to different age stages. I learnt to forgive because there is no point letting people who is not important to destroy your mood.

14. Independent.

I have learnt to be independent. I sometimes do rely on people too much. But I have learnt how to be alone. I am an individual, I have my own way of thinking and I live for myself.

15. Be truthful to people and you will get true friends back.

Maybe you can show 70% of true self to people and keep the rest to yourself. When you don't say all the truth, it doesn't mean that you are lying. You are just keeping it to protect yourself.

16. Always appreciate those who stay by my side.

I have learnt that those who help you when you're in hardship are the one who won't leave you. When people leave, there must be some reasons that make them do so and there is no point making them stay when they don't want to. So appreciate those who stays.

17. No one is 100% perfect. Just try your best not to be 100% imperfect.

18. Be thankful for every little thing and never take things for granted.

It seems like a small thing to you now, but it can be a big deal for others or maybe to you later. Imagine that you having the things you want, will you be feeling thankful now? You can't go back in time, so appreciate what you have now.

19. It is important to have a balance life.

Play hard and work hard is what people always say. There is no point to keep playing and do nothing worth in life. Also, what is the point of keep working and do not have fun at all? Life is a never ending learning process, so enjoy every moment and have fun.

20. Patient

I realized that patient is so important. It shows whether your EQ is high or no. It is an emotion thing that you have to control yourself not to be reckless. Be patient and you will get the things you want.

20.1 I am still blogging.

I started blogging just for fun. But I found my passion toward it. There is a point where I feel like giving up. But I am still blogging now.

21. I am 21 this year (2017).

Thanks for reading :)

Love,
 CLYL.

Passed by Little Bourke St a few times, but didn't realise that there is this big cafe until one of my friends told me. I didn't even know that Higher Ground is one of the must go cafes, which explain that there is too much nice cafes around Melbourne !
I wish that Malaysia has this much of nice cafes around my area.

The sign board of the cafe is so small, which is really hard for me to notice the cafe.
It is located beside Pho24 and I always thought that the crowd is lining up for the Thai food.
I am not a fan for Thai food, except their TomYam, so I didn't take much attention for it.

Fortunately, I went there just before I came back Malaysia.

Menu for those who are in a hurry and want to get a cup of coffee to start their day.
Price is range from $4-5, which is reasonable. Frankly, I absolutely miss their coffee.

The Day Menu.

They have different menu for different period (Day, Afternoon and Night).

I am sitting just beside the kitchen, so I got to have a good look on how they design all the dishes.

Of course, I can't see the recipe duh~
But I got to observe and know who is in-charged of doing which dish and who is the head.
Indeed, they're so hot and I can't stop observing them. *giggling*

The bar

Cappuccino

*look at the fork ! *

Brian couldn't wait to eat his food *haha*

Minced Lamb fry up egg plant,
with fried eggs, prickled, rhubarb, smoked yogurt, pine nut dukkah and sour dough ($20.50)

Berkshire Bacon Sandwich
with gribiche brown sauce. ($14.50)

My friend who is a bacon lover loves this so much!
She also ordered an extra plate of portobello mushroom ($4.50), which made her so satisfied with her meal.
The bread is crispy, yet soft and the bacon is really tasty.

Short Rib Roll
with black sesame, daikon, crisp vegetables, and sriracha ($19)

This is really good and I love it ! Besides the portion is not very filling, I enjoy the crisp vegetables,
which can ease the greasiness of the meat.
If you don't like to eat vegetables, this might not suit you because
the crisp vegetables are actually combo of carrot, cucumber and bean sprout.

Time management plays an important role in our everyday life.

Of course, stress management is also one of the quality that we must have, living in this hectic world.
Everything is moving so rapidly. Even though Malaysia is still far from those developed countries.
I must say that I am glad that Malaysia is a country that has a lot of resources,
which helped the country to grow.

Back to the topic.

We learned time management since we are young.
For example, we are supposed to finish our homework, given a period of time.
Without time management, we won't be able to get anything done.

Undeniable, there are people who can manage their time well, while some struggle.
I believe that I manage my time pretty good, as I always set a time for myself to finish certain work.
I did struggle sometimes when all the works came in a bundle.

Specifically, it's week 6 and it means half of my semester has gone.
It is one of the busiest week in every of my semester.
I have 2 assignment due, 2 quiz, and club meetings and activities to attend in 2 weeks.
I know that some people probably have more hectic week(s) than me, but I am glad that
I still get to find some time for entertainments.

I do have to wake up really early and sleep late to finish my assignments and revisions,
but what I am trying to say is that I am still living a good life.

Everyone is given 24 hours a day and sometimes I wonder, why they are more successful,
why they have more time than me and why they can do so many things in a day?

The answer to it is efficiency.

Procrastination and Efficiency is just separated by a line.
And that line is called management.

Why do I say so?

I feel that a good management make you fully utilized your time, and boost efficiency.
Without management, you will procrastinate and do things that are not useful to you.

Of course, having entertainment is also part of the management.
Sometimes a proportion of entertains make things work more effectively.

Also, I am not saying that we have to plan everything out ahead and just follow it one by one.
There are always unforeseen circumstances happening everyday, just like I didn't plan to write a blogpost today but I did.

But, live your life to its fullest.
And make sure you live a life that won't make you regret.
What is more meaningful when you have less regrets than other people do?
