Hello beautiful souls out there!
Finally got the time to do a proper throwback to 2018.
Has been pretty busy and occupied with stuff that is pending since last year. LOL

Without further a due, let's fasten our seat belt and sit the flight back to 2018. 💓

January

Started my first full time work and here is where I changed my "toilet-mirror-ootd" to "office-lift-ootd". If you follow me long enough, you will know what's it. HAHA.

Can't believe that I have already worked for 1 full year and I am finally not a Management Trainee! Wohoo!! I shall have no complaint about my work because I consider myself as the lucky one. I don't have to bring any work to home/ work in the weekends, OT is not like until 8/9pm everyday, have super friendly and nice colleagues and boss, get to enjoy a lot of staff benefits and so on..  Most importantly, I am employed! Yeap.

February

February is one of my favourite months because one of my favourite festive lies on this month. Do you guys know what is it? That's right! It's Chinese New Year, aka the season of eating and gaining weight. LOL. Love all the CNY cookies and of course red packet. HEHE.

I have been doing this Chinese New Year Lookbook since 2016 and
I am planning to do it again this year. 😍

April

Another favourite month. 💓
Besides that it is my birthday month, it is also the month where I have officially graduated from Monash University! I have made a video about my convocation, feel free to check it out. :)

Guess who turned 5 that month!
Yeap, The Butterfly Project and I shared the same birthday month. 😍
I have shared the party and everything you have to know to host a unicorn party HERE.
It was indeed the best party I have attended.

May

Feel really blessed and grateful to be able to meet the lovely girls and pampered by brands. It is one of the life-changing moments where I know I am actually capable in doing something, such as uploading a video every week/ trying new stuff.

It feels great to challenge myself every week and that 2 months of Vlogstar Competition is by far the most enriched moment in 2018. Check out my Youtube Channel :)

Oh and not to forget that I have joined the general election for the first time! The election was so intense that everyone is hoping that miracle would happen. It was like a drama that I have watched online but in reality. At last, we have made it to a change and hopefully, Malaysia is a better place now.

June

I got nominated to represent my department for my company's annual dinner dancing competition. I had an intensive 1-month dancing practice during the working hour (yea, almost 8 hours a day).
I got to meet a lot of fresh graduates, who just joined the company, just like me and some experienced seniors from different division/field. We shared a lot of memories even though it just a short 1-2 months. Very grateful that I am still able to meet some of them, and have lunch together once in a while. Will never forget the happy moments we shared. :)

July
Out of 11 shortlisted Nanowhite Fresh Vlogstar, I got to squeeze in the top 7. I was actually quite worried that I am not able to stay until the end and attend the grand dinner/ the ceremony. This is because only the top 7 finalists are "qualified" for the ceremony and attend the dinner.

This is my last video for the Nanowhite Fresh Vlogstar and also the end of my 3 months money-can't-buy experience. Even though I am not the ultimate winner, I do have a lot of fun learning and growing. Really appreciate the opportunity that is given.

August

Another happy moment to share. If you didn't know yet, I am one of the Althea Angels! Aka Althea Angels Beauty Ambassador 😍, where I will be getting like tons of beauty products to try out. It was an honour to be able to be one of them and have a long term collaboration with my favourite K-beauty online beauty shop. 💓

September

Attended my favourite Japanese makeup brand event! Never thought that I will get invited to the event because I am still like a potato. HAHA. I planned to do like a makeup tutorial using only one brand, which is Canmake but am always occupied with something, which make me postponed the video for soo long! Should really get back with it after I am done with my travel post. LOL.

The whole trip was super chill and filled with good Penang food, that is recommended by the locals. Yup, 2 of them are Penang-lang, which made this trip to happen so successful. I think this is probably my first time visiting Penang because I have no memory for Penang at all. LOL.

Really enjoyed myself during the trip, even though something bad happened.

October

Celebrated Halloween for the first time and it is sooo fun!
Wanted to visit Stanger Things in USS but it's so expensive and I bo-lui. T.T
But Halloween in Lagoon is more than enough for me, since it's my first time. xD

November

Got back my car.

This might not be the best memory, but it was indeed the most impacted lesson in my life. Rmb I went to Penang in September? I got into a car accident on my way to Penang. I was so scared, but calm enough to make a phone call to my dad. It was just the beginning of the trip, but it already feels like a nightmare. I did not talk much about this incident because it is not something very nice to say.

Thankfully everyone is alright, even though there are like bruises all over our legs, but nothing major than that. It was my first car accident and hopefully the last one. Drive safe everyone. 💗

December

Celebrated early Christmas in my favourite country!! Have always wanted to visit Japan and especially Hokkaido in winter. 💗 This is definitely a dream come true and I feel so blessed to be able to make it so soon.

It is so magical to be able to see snow for the first time and nothing can describe how happy I am.
I am already missing the place and someone please bring me back there again. 💗
Definitely a great way and a great month to end my 2018.

There is up and down in life and it is extremely important to see the beauty in everything.
Even the worst moment can be the best memory for you and the greatest lesson to learn/own.
What's your best moments in 2018? Share it with me :D I am more than happy to know it.

Love,
CLYL

Hello Bunnies! Happy New Year!! :D

How is 2019 so far? It still feels surreal for me tho... Like I can't believe that it is already 2019!
How time flies and I am 1 year older. LOL.

Time seems to pass more quickly when you are having fun, but there is a research says that if you're engaged in an activity or pursuit that is focused on achieving a goal, then time really does fly by as you're having fun. Get it? Get it?

I know that it is pretty typical to make a new year resolution, but it is something that makes you realised what you really want/achieve this year. It can be something small, and it can be something big. You will be surprised how time can change a person.

I feel that with a resolution, your mind will be clearer of what you want and it is what makes you feel motivated to do something better instead of living in the same old way without any motivation/ changes. When the time you just wanted to start achieving something, things might be a bit too late because you have already missed out the some of the opportunities.

So what are you waiting for? Faster grab a book/ write your new year resolution in you phone note!
Let's do this together for a better tomorrow :)

Here is a list of new year resolutions for myself:

1) Stay happy, Be happy
Or I shall say stay optimistic. Life is like a roller coaster, there are full of ups and downs. There is no way to be happy all the time, but it is important to be optimistic. You can be sad but think in a positive side later, because there is always something new to learn at the end of every story.

2) Travel more places
Would definitely love to travel to more places, regardless of local or overseas.
Of course, it would be great to travel overseas but what makes the whole trip memorable, fun and worth is the person you travel with.

3) Save more money
Great news! I have finally paid back all my PTPTN loans 😍 Finally a debt-free person!! HEHE.
Of course, this can't be done without my parents. So this year, I want to save more money, so that I am closer to my goal.

4) Concert
You guys would be surprised if I tell you that I have never been to a concert before. Yeap, I have never been to a concert, and I don't include those New Year Carnival live performance as concerts. So this year, I am going to save up for my favourite artists' concerts!

5) Open to more opportunities / to collaborate with more people
Last year, I am very lucky to be able to join the Althea Angel Community and it is one of the best things ever. I got to meet a lot of new people and try out a lot of new stuff.
This year, I hope I still continue doing other things that I love doing despite of a full time work.

6) Create more Youtube content
I actually really love doing vlogs! I tried to do review products/hauls kind of video, but it makes me want to sleep when I was editing it. And it is more tiring than creating a review blog post. So this year, I want to create more vlogs and maybe some makeup tutorials. HEHE.

7) To be show more gratitude
It is important to be thankful for the people around you and the opportunities they have given you. It can be something small but sometimes little things are what make our life different and special.

These are my resolutions for this year. How about you?
What are your new year resolutions? I would like to know yours. :)

Love,
CLYL.

Hi guys, I am finally a graduated from Monash University Malaysia! To be honest, I am actually super proud of myself! I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been really supportive throughout these 3 years, especially my family and friends. Love you guys to the moon and back 😘.

Here are some of the little moments that I have captured on my convocation day and a huge shoutout to my younger sister who helped me to take most of the moments when I was super busy taking pictures with my friends.

Super grateful that cousin sister and brother came to my graduation 😍
We are like real brother and sister and that's how close we are 😊

Friend since primary school!
Even though we are not like super close until we went to the same secondary school.
Thanks for coming and represent the group 😆

Love. Love. Love them so much!
Thank you for all the impromptu trips/outing (always super last minute. HAHAHA) and I hope that we are still this close, despite of our busy schedule 😊

Thank you for all the accompany and memories!
Words can't describe how grateful and lucky to have all of you! 💓
Anyways, I hope all of you, who are currently still studying / already working, that your dream can take you to your smile, hopes and success 💓

"In response to those who say to stop dreaming and face reality, I say keep dreaming and make reality."  - Kristian Kan

One more month until the end of my probation.

I can still remember clearly how I got the job, working in a banking industry.

I just finished my finals and my mom already started to ask me whether I have found a job and sending my resumes.

At that moment, I was still feeling exhausted from my last paper and seriously have no mood to find a job. I entertained my mom a little by telling her that I was going to do so.

God knows what I want to do in my future.
I had no plan at all and did not know where to go.

After a week of staying at home, doing nothing. I started to feel bored and surfing job portal like JobStreet and Graduan.

While everyone was having fun and travelling around, I stayed at home dropping my resume everywhere. *another way of travelling with my resume through the internet* LOL.

I complained to my mom for being too harsh on me. I was just like a kid who was forbidden to get out from the house to play with other kids at the playground. But she brought me back to the reality and asked me this question, "Do you have the money?".

They taught me money never comes easily

I consider I am one of the lucky ones, such as having a house to stay, university to attend, and food to eat when I am hungry. Even though I am not from a super rich family, my parents always support me what I am doing. Consider I am a good daughter, I don't really spend my parent's money much, except for the education.

Ever since I started to do a part-time job, in my third year of high school (form 3), I never like working because it is tiring as hell and I envy my friends, who have never worked before, because they have such an easy life.

But now, I thank them for helping me to grow up, to be independent and face the world myself. They really did a great job in encouraging me and pushing me to the real world step by step.

I earn my own money, spend my own money.
I still think that work is more tiring than studying, but I am able to face it and solve my problem myself.

How I got my first job

I was one of the first few people who got a permanent job. The reason why I got it is because when others are still having fun, enjoying their holidays and travelling, I already started applying for a job. I have never had an internship or working experience in the industry that related to my major.

So, my working experience is ZERO.
I feel that if you apply faster than others, even when you are not the most suitable candidate, the company will eventually choose you because they urgently need someone who can fill in the vacancy.

The other reason is that I am not a very picky person. At that point of time, when I was hunting for a job, I was still very new to the whole job thingy, like I have no idea what I want to do / what I will face/be doing if I got the job. I seriously have no idea so I just follow the flow and apply everything.
I felt that I was a piece of plain paper, waiting for an artist to paint me.

Afterall, I just a need a job that can pay me well and keep me going.

Before I got my current job, I had a 1 month of internship (my first internship) in December. Yup, exactly after my finals. I thought that I will continue to work there since I really love the environment and the people there.

But then I received another call, asking me whether I am available for the interview for a "REAL" job. I thought for a while, before accepting the offer. In the end, I went to the interview, thinking that it would be great to have a permanent job, than just an internship. Because there is no guarantee that I can continue working in that company. So, it is like a backup plan for me.

Before I go to the interview, I make sure I know my thing well, including the company's culture. I can be a really blur person because I am not very observant and I don't really pay attention to things around me. But when I am serious about something, I will definitely do my homework and give my best. I feel that it is extremely important to be confident (or at least act confident) and speak clearly (without fear to make mistakes).

I thought I will get noticed a week after my interview, but there was no news. So I assumed that I was disqualified. Out of my expectation, I received the call 2 weeks later, telling me that I had passed my interview. I really did not expect that will happen because I felt that I didn't do well during the interview (maybe I didn't do that badly?).

My first time having a "REAL" job

I can't believe that I have been working for almost 5 months!
Can you even believe this?

I just had my convocation and now I am almost done with my 6 months probation!

WOW...Just wow!

I do face difficulties while working as a permanent staff. There is more responsibility for me and I am kinda afraid to make mistakes. I still remember on the first day of my work, they were already giving me the real job, such as monthly reports that will be submitted to the director of my division.

I thought it was just for practice, but when the moment my colleague asked me to chop the company's stamp on the paper, I was like stunned (No wonder she made sure everything is correctly done and all la). She didn't mind the hassle of asking me to change for over I don't know how many times (such as some minor problem like font, size and line) just to make sure everything is perfect.

I feel that I am truly lucky enough to have such caring and thoughtful colleagues, as well as my manager (she's like a loving mother). They make me feel welcomed. They also make sure that I am not afraid to ask any questions and always help me when I am in need. They really taught me well, instead of throwing manuals and let me mould on my own. HAHA.

One of the best parts of working is definitely when it is payday.
Who doesn't love payday when there is money credited to your account? xD

Despite I have to work overtime, I feel that working is not a really bad idea. Moreover, it's not like I need to stay until very late (9pm/ 10pm), mostly just around 7pm.

Hmm.. I don't know how to end this post d.
I think I should stop here because I am running out of idea. HAHA.

Oh well, good luck to everyone who's currently studying/ searching for a job or who are already working now! All the best to all of you and I should stop my post right here.

Bye!

Love,
CLYL.

The Liebster Award is an award given by bloggers to bloggers to recognize and/or discover new bloggers and help them. The word "Liebster" is a German word, which means beloved or dearest. It is a way to recognise bloggers for their efforts and accomplishments, thus motivate and encourage them to make them feel proud of their work.

Getting noted for your work and being nominated for an award is a wonderful feeling!

I was nominated by Ashleysmq
Do check her out! 💕
RULES :
  1. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you and display the Award
  2. Answer 10 Question from the blogger who nominated you
  3. Nominate other blogs
  4. Ask them 10 Questions

Onward to the questions!

1. When did you start blogging?
I started blogging in August 2014.
If you stalk me all the way down (first few of my blog posts), you will find that they were like e-diaries and the way I have expressed are in a super childish manner. In fact, I have seen a huge improvement in my previous post compares to my current one.

2. How does blogging make you feel?
Blogging makes me feel alive. LOL. It's not like I am dying if I don't blog, but I enjoy blogging and sharing my thoughts with my readers. Besides writing reviews, I love sharing my life and what I am currently up to. It is a platform for me to express my feelings 💗.

3. How can I improve my blogging?
I feel that I am improving my blog everyday, but slowly.
In my opinion, to improve a blog, you have to be consistent (at least 4-6 posts a month), so that it is not dead. When you can update your blog consistently, it is time to improve your language and sense of humour by reading more. An interesting and informative blog post is always what people want. Last but not least, having an eye-pleasing blog and beautiful pictures can always make people feel the urge to continue reading your contents. 😊

 4. Name your favourite blogger(s)?
My favourite bloggers would be ChanWon, Cheesie, FourFeetNine, TomithyTiah, FishMeatDie, JingLovesCake, and more!

5. What are your hobbies?
I love watching the drama but I don't like drama in real life. LOL

6. Any pets?
I once have a hamster when I was in primary school.
Sadly, it died and I don't own any pet since after that time.

7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In the next 5 years, I see myself to be a more responsible and independent individual. I might/ might not have a boyfriend, but surely am keeping contacts with all my beloved friends 💕. For work, I think I will still be working in the same company (maybe no), but definitely with a higher pay and bonus 😘. For blogging career, I think I will still blog during my free time because that is what I am passionate about.

8. What is your favourite country and where would you like to live in the future?
My favourite country would be Melbourne 💗
I am super grateful that I was able to live there for around 5 months for studies, all thanks to my parents! I have blogged and vlogged about my Mel Life over HERE (which is mainly about food and travel!). Feel free to check them out yo 😆.

9. What is your favourite food?
I love a lot of food! To be honest, I can't really decide. xD
I love nasi lemak, BBQ, sushi, ramen, noodles, dessert, chocolate and more 😍.

10. Tell me a fun fact about yourself!
Hmm.. A fun fact about me ~
If you guys didn't know yet, the reason why my blog name is CherylBunny, instead of CherylUnicorn or CherylKitty is that I have a bunny tooth and not unicorn's horn 😂
Geddit? Geddit?

I tag
Bee Lee
Shannon
Tiffany Lee
Shi Kei
and anyone who wants to do this!

My questions
  1. When did you start blogging?
  2. How does blogging make you feel?
  3. Did you face any difficulties when you're blogging? If yes, what is that and how you overcome it?
  4.  Name your favourite blogger(s) and youtuber(s)?
  5. What are your hobbies?
  6. What is your dream job?
  7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  8. What is your favourite country and where would you like to live in the future?
  9. If you have $1m, how are you going to spend it?
  10. Tell me a fun fact about yourself!

Goodbye 2017

2017 has been an amazing year for me. Without my acknowledgement,  I have accomplished so much in this year. I have never imagined that I can go this far. Someone told me that "One day, looking back at my life, I hope that I can pat my own shoulder and said 'good job' to myself, as I have done so many things in my life".

What I thought next was "Why are you making your life so hard? Life is short and you should enjoy it". But what I didn't know is that he is enjoying what he is doing, despite it is hard and making him tired.

Looking back what I have done this year, I am grateful that I am surrounded by people who I love/ who loved me who I am. Thank you, friends and family, for all the support 💗. Here I am summing up some of the huge moments of my life 💗

1. Blogger/ Youtuber

I am lucky enough to receive a lot of opportunities this year, all thanks to The Butterfly Project Community. The community taught me so much, and I feel like I am slowly becoming a beautiful butterfly from an ugly caterpillar. I got to collaborate with clients and brand, who believe in me. I also get to meet a lot of content creators, who are passionate about what they're doing and they have inspired and taught me so much. Without the community, I will still be in my little "well" doing my own stuff.

2. Domain

If you didn't know/realise yet, yup I have finally gotten my own domain 💗. Thank you those who have given me useful advice and support on getting my own domain. It is pretty hard for me to make this decision because I have never thought of being a full-time blogger. I was still studying back when I paid for my own domain and it makes me think a lot on my future path.

3. Graduate

Finally graduating from Monash University. I have enjoyed so much for the past 3 years in Monash. Time flies and I am going to have my convocation next year April. I have blogged and vlogged about my Universiy life as much as I can to keep all those memories. From being a buddy, to my final year of my university days, everything seems so little but means significantly in my life.

4. Fun

Messy hair but don't care cause I really have a lot of fun during my trip in Genting. Besides going to Genting, I had a lot of fun in 2017, meeting a lot of nice people, and had a lot of my "first time". I went to Club for the first time, had an amazing 21st birthday, attended some of the events, as well as getaways from the city with family and friends.

Thank you for all the fun moments 2017! 😊

Hello 2018

It is always hard to say goodbye, but not when you have done everything you can, leaving no regrets. I am satisfied with my current life. So, let's give a warm hello to 2018! In the new year, I hope that I am able to achieve all of the below.

1.  Travel

Who doesn't like to travel? In the year of 2018, I hope that I can travel at least one country. 😊I would like to explore the worlds, to see their experience different culture. Yup, not going to be greedy cause I know it's hard to earn money and this relates to my next point.

2. Earn more money

I am gonna earn more money and travel around the world. I believe the phrase of "Travel while you still can". It would be amazing to be able to spend your own money on traveling/ gettings things that you like. I am glad to know that I am financially stable (or maybe soon :P) and my parents can finally chill a little bit d.

3. Happy and Healthy Life

Not happier and healthier life. But at least a happy and healthy life. Life is like a roller coaster, where there's up and down, I hope that in 2018, I am strong to face any challenges, happy and grateful on small little things I have and have a healthy life.

4. Still Doing what I am doing

Last but not least, I hope that I am still doing what I am doing, including my work life and blog. I hope that I am still able to update my blog and youtube every month, despite that I am having a full time busy work life.

Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! I wish you guys have a very happy and prosperous happy new year 😄

Love,
CLYL.
